Reports in GENESYS can range from simple database queries (e.g., show me a list of all open concerns) to complex, formatted reports (e.g., the System/Segment Specification). They are available in Project Explorer tree view. Expand the Reports folder to see the included reports. Many reports reside in their own folders (e.g., IRS) but some utility reports have been grouped together (e.g., Reporting Toolkit includes several hierarchy reports).
Reports use the context of a project so a project must be open in order to edit or run a report.
Reports are a repository level item. This means that the same reports are available to everyone who logs into the repository and in any project that you have in the repository. This allows one person to make modifications that can be used by all. This also means that you need to duplicate a report if you want to make it custom for a particular project.

Getting Started To get started writing your own reports we have provided Introduction to Writing Reports located in our Documentation folder. We also offer a two day Reports class. |
