Language: The Comprehensive Systems Design Langauge (CSDL)

The Comprehensive Systems Design Language (CSDL) is a systems modeling language based on natural language. It's structure of entites, relatonships, and attributes (ERA) formed in natural-language parts of speech can be combined to generate intuitive phrases and sentences that even non-systems engineers can understand.

The CSDL language covers all aspects of systems engineering - something that SysML v1.x cannot claim, as well as program management and specialty engineering concepts. It is translatable into other spoken and domain languages.  The language is flexibles and can be modified or extended to meet the particular needs of customers.  To learn more about modifying CSDL, see Edit Schema.

The main elements of CSDL, aalong with their English language parts of speech mappings, are shown in the table below.

The most commonly used entities and relationships in CSDL are shown in the figure blow.

For a complete specification of CSDL, please refer to the Schema header section in the Project Explorer or the Schema Report.
