Export Custom Command Ribbon

The Export command, accessed on the Custom Ribbon dialog, enables you to export the custom command as it is represented in the dialog for other users to import into their user profile.

 

 

 

The file that is exported has a file extension of .GNCC and can only be imported into GENESYS through the Import command on the Custom Ribbon dialog.

 

The export will contain the custom ribbon as shown in the dialog and not what is current for the user. This allows for a developer of the custom commands to give another user only those items that are desired instead of all the commands in their profile. To do this simply open the dialog, remove the non-desired items, export the ribbon information, and then use the Cancel button to return to the current state.

 

NOTE:

There is a difference between the Export command available from the Custom Command Ribbon Editor and the Custom command option under Users and Groups in the general Export command. The Export command in the Ribbon Editor will export the ribbon so that another user can import the ribbon into their own user profile. The custom ribbon option under Users and Groups exports the custom ribbon information for every user.
