Insert Branch

The Insert Branch command enables you to add additional empty branches to a Parallel or Select construct on an Activity diagram or EFFBD. This command is available either from the right-click context menu, or by double-clicking on, or dragging the branch construct from the diagram Toolbox onto the construct.

 

If you insert a branch from the diagram Toolbox, a single new branch is added as the last branch on the construct. You can then change the ordering of the branches using the Edit Branch Position command, if desired.

 

If you insert a branch via the diagram or context menu after selecting the entire contruct (AND, OR) on the diagram, you will be prompted for the number of branches to add.

 

 

Then you will be prompted for the position of the first branch (where "0" corresponds to the first branch).

 

 

 

NOTE:

Double-clicking a Parallel or Select construct is a shortcut for adding a single branch as the last branch on the construct.
