The Run Script command begins the report execution process. When invoked from the script editor, the run command executes the current script in the editor. When invoked from any other window in CORE, the command prompts you to select the desired report.
When generating the list of available reports, CORE searches the main, common, and user report directories (and subdirectories) as identified in the file locations section of the user preferences. All RPO files within these directories will be added to the list of available reports for execution. The scripts are grouped into subfolders based upon the folder structure within Windows and listed by their descriptive name.
When you select a script from the drop-down list, a basic description of the report is displayed in the description window. For more detailed information, click the Script Help File button to open the associated help file. When you click OK, the script will execute.
From this point forward, all execution is based upon the commands included in the report script. Some scripts are simple queries that require little or no user interaction. Other scripts are complex reports that allow the user to control a myriad of settings including the desired set of report chapters.

Over time, CORE has built up a library of reports. Sometimes, knowing which report to run can be a bit confusing. To assist with this challenge, legacy reports have been organized and placed in a Legacy folder under the general reports folder. These reports will not show up in the combined list when you run a report, but you can still access them simply by selecting the Legacy subfolder. |
