Random Distributions

The random number preferences enable you to set the default values when a random distribution value is selected for an attribute (most commonly a function's duration).

 

Random Distribution Options

 

Distribution - enables you to select the desired default distribution from the drop-down list. The three fields below will adjust to display the appropriate parameters for the selected distribution.

 

The rest of the fields are used when necessary by the type of distribution selected.

 

Random Number Stream - specifies the stream to draw from when generating the random number.
