Overview

Preferences in GENESYS are divided between user preferences and project preferences. They can be reached by using the Preferences button on the bottom right side of the File menu.

User Preferences

The user preferences allow each individual user to configure specific options to match their individual preferences and ways of working. The user preferences range from navigation behavior to simulation options. The preferences are grouped in a tree structure for easy navigation and stored as part of the user information.

Project Preferences

Everyone has their own individual preferences, especially when it comes to images – sizing, coloring, node templates, and more. While we each have our own personal style, we want the output from our team to be graphically consistent and cohesive across the project. To help project teams deliver a common graphical style, GENESYS has the diagram and some simulation preferences as project preferences. Here, teams can establish common defaults for all diagrams that are shared across the team. Individuals still have the flexibility to style individual diagrams, but that’s flexibility within a common framework.
