New Facility

The New Facility command, accessed on the Schema ribbon, defines a new facility in the schema. You will be prompted to enter a name for the facility, and then the facility will be created.

 

 

Facilities allow you to group classes together, enabling you to focus on the particular area of interest within the larger language of MBSE. Once created and defined as part of the schema, the list of facilities is available to users as part of the project pane in the project explorer.

 

 

NOTE:

By convention, facilities are named using title case. However, this is not required or constrained in any way. The only requirement is that each facility within a project have a unique name.
