New Entity (Ins)

The New Entity command defines a new entity in the selected class, folder within a class, or package. You will be prompted to enter a name for the entity, and then the entity will be created. Though GENESYS maintains a unique ID for each entity, GENESYS may enforce name uniqueness within a given entity class to avoid user confusion if the unique entity names option is selected during project creation.

The new entity will inherit the permissions from the class, folder, or package where the entity was created. These permissions can be changes by using the Set Entity Permissions or Set Attribute Permissions commands.

What permissions are required to create an entity?

To create an entity within a project, you must have the Create permission for the project. If you do not have this permission, contact your project administrator.
