Edit Role Name

The Edit Role Name command enables you to specify the role name for the selected part in its part composition. The role name is captured within GENESYS as an attribute on the built in relationship between the child part and its parent. This command allows you to easily assign the role name directly from the block definition diagram (BDD) without opening the property sheet for the part.

 

 

BDDs display the role name (if defined) at the connection point for the part. IBDs display the role name above the part name in the node label.
