New Sort Block

The New Sort Block command defines a new sort block to use for sorting and representing lists of entities. 

 

To create a new sort block:

 

1.  In Project Explorer under Utilities, right-click Sort Blocks and select New Sort Block. or enter a name for the new sort block in the box at the top of the Browser pane and cick Create. Alternatively, right-click in the Browser pane and select New Sort Block from the drop-down menu that appears. You can also access this command on the Data ribbon.

 

2. Enter a name for the sort block in the window that displays. Sort block names must be unique. 

 

 

The new sort block appears in the pane.

 

The sort block is initialized to sort in ascending order with the entity name as the primary sort key and the entity name as the representation.
