Toggled at the project level in the administrative tools window, the Enable / Disable Merge History commands toggle whether or not to track all changes made to a project for export and integration purposes. When collaborating with a distributed team where CORE Server is not available, tracking merge history allows team members to work in parallel and then integrate their changes. If merge history is enabled, CORE transparently tracks all changes and then can export the change file using the Export command, enabling the team to easily merge their work.
If a project team is not integrating changes from a distributed team and leveraging the ability to export changes, the merge history for a project can be disabled.
