The Check IDEF0 Protocol command performs basic syntax check in accordance with FIPS PUB 183. All protocol errors along with corresponding details will be displayed in an inspection window for review or output to assist in correcting the diagram.
Some protocol violations (such as Maximum Box Count Exceeded) may not be a concern. If IDEF0 is an important representation for your project, other protocol violations (such as Missing Arrows for Element [element name]) should be reviewed to ensure completeness of your model with respect to FIPS 183 guidelines.
